What is the Notification Centre?
The Notification Centre feature currently has a FEEDBACK label; please click on it to share your thoughts about the feature.
Background on Notifications¶
Notifications are used to send you important updates, and information about new system features. There are seven notification categories:
- New Features & Enhancements
- Legislative Updates
- Important Updates
- General Information
- Upcoming Deadlines
- Critical
- Upcoming Maintenance
Dismissing notifications
Generally, while you are working on the system, you can close a notification that appears at the top of the screen by clicking on the little cross in the top right. However, notifications in the Critical category, the red ones, cannot be dismissed in this way.
This is because the information in these notifications is so important that we don’t want you to accidentally close or dismiss them.
The Notification Centre¶
The Notification Centre is where we keep track of all notifications. It can be accessed by clicking the Bell icon ( ) in the top right of the screen.
By default, you will see all the unread in-system notifications you have received – across all categories.
- To see read notifications, too, you can toggle on the radio button next to Show Read Notifications.
- To see notifications in a particular category only, use the Category filter in the top left.
Even when you are not on the Notification Centre screen, you will be kept up to date about new notifications in two ways:
- An unread notification counter, which is a number in a little red circle on the Bell icon.
- A pop-up message that points to the Bell icon, or a notification displayed across the top of the screen.
Marking notifications as read
If you're all caught up on your notifications, you can click Mark all as Read.
